These terms govern your use of The Crew, a pickleball tracking app operated by Jeff Holway, a sole proprietor based in Connecticut, USA. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use The Crew

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these terms.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential.
• You may sign in with email and password, or with Sign in with Apple, or with Sign in with Google.
• You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account.
• Notify us at support@rulethecrew.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a group.
• Upload content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Interfere with the app's operation, including by probing, scanning, or testing for vulnerabilities without permission.
• Use the app for any commercial purpose without our written consent.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the app.

4. Groups and admins

The Crew is a private-group app. Group admins control membership, scheduled games, and the player roster. By joining a group you agree that admins of that group will see your name, profile photo, and gameplay activity within the group.

5. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen under Danger zone. Deletion details:

• Your account is signed out and locked immediately.
• Permanent deletion completes within 30 days via a daily background job.
• Groups you lead are transferred to the longest-tenured member.
• Aggregate gameplay statistics are anonymized (your name is removed) so other members keep their game history.

6. Content and ownership

You own the content you create in the app (profile photo, group names, game notes). By creating that content you grant Jeff Holway a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and process it solely to operate the app for you and your group.

The app itself, including the source code, design, and trademarks "The Crew" and "The Kitchen," remains the property of Jeff Holway.

7. Free service

The Crew is currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future. If we do, the price and the features included will be clearly disclosed before any charge is made.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We will give reasonable notice except where the violation is severe (for example, abuse of other users or attempts to compromise the service).

9. Disclaimer

The Crew is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific feature will be available at any specific time.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jeff Holway is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the prior twelve months, which for a free account is zero.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective date at the top of this page and notify active users by email or in-app message.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
