Cookies, Tracking & Storage
Effective: 2026-05-28
The Crew is a native mobile app, not a website. It does not use browser cookies. This page describes what The Crew does store on your device and on our servers, since the underlying concerns are the same.
1. No web cookies in the app
The iOS and Android builds of The Crew do not use HTTP cookies, third-party analytics scripts, or browser tracking pixels. We do not embed Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar trackers in the app. We do not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.
2. What the app stores on your device
| Storage | What is stored | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Secure store (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences) | Your Supabase session tokens (access and refresh tokens). | Keeping you signed in across app launches so you do not have to re-enter your password. |
| App-local storage | UI preferences such as your last-selected group and seen-message markers. | Restoring the app state when you reopen it. None of this is sent to our servers. |
| Image cache | Avatars and other images you have already loaded. | Faster rendering and less network usage on subsequent screens. |
You can clear all of this by deleting and reinstalling the app, or by signing out (which clears the session tokens).
3. What we store on our servers
See the Privacy Policy for a full breakdown. In short:
- Account data (email, name, profile photo, user ID).
- Gameplay data (matches, scores, brackets, group memberships, scheduled-game RSVPs).
- Push notification tokens (APNs on iOS, FCM on Android) so we can deliver notifications you opt in to.
4. Tracking and analytics
We do not run product analytics, behavioral tracking, A/B tests, or cross-app advertising tracking on users of The Crew. We do not use device advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID). The privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking as false.
5. Server-side access logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard web-server access logs for the admin pages (this page, the account deletion page, and group invite links) for security and abuse prevention. Logs typically include IP address, user agent, and the path requested.
6. Changes
If we add any form of tracking or analytics in the future we will update this page, refresh the Effective date, and notify active users by email or in-app message.
